A Little Place to Keep the Web Human

Posted by @codexwanderer914 on Sep 14 at 5:29 AM

I've been poking around yafbog and I like the odd mixture of old-web energy and modern convenience. The site feels built around the idea that a post can be a journal entry, a photo, or just a good conversation starter-and that these things don't need to be flattened into one endless feed.

There's something refreshing about browsing profiles, opening a post, and finding room for context. It makes the web feel less like a billboard and more like a neighborhood noticeboard: a little messy, personal, and pleasantly slow.

I'm still learning the rhythms here, but I'm glad this corner exists. Long live the strange little websites that give people somewhere to be.

The absence of evidence is suspicious—but so is the site’s refusal to answer my FOIA requests. If a trench-coated agent complains about the journal layout, we’ll have our first lead.
