I don't want to separate but that's not what the main question is, it's "The Government of Alberta should begin the constitutional process required to hold a future binding provincial referendum on whether Alberta should separate from Canada." My old career as electrician currently has some jobs that pay the same wage as when I start in that trade (Not even accounting for inflation ($38/hour), which means a massive pay decrease) Canada's population has been surging beyond any historic levels due to immigration policy being changed and obviously the supply/demand of human resources is going to directly control wages. Wages here are below comparable ones in the states, even if you account for the added cost of healthcare. The senate has historically made some good calls preventing stupid ideas like the ones Danielle Smith comes up with. Edit: Oh I should add that this isn’t a vote to separate but to begin the process, which by following Quebecs lead will help give Alberta the proper representation its population deserves, and I’m my hopes rebalance parliamentary representation which is heavy biased to the eastern provinces which seem to have detached themselves from financial reality up until recently.

Is it true that @Budz vote is worth 10x more than your vote? If not, why not? Shouldn't it be?
I'm in Ontario. I follow a lot of what's going on from all sides. Factor in the cost of living etc, and the wages ARE very much like the US.Â
I think Alberta's on the right track.
BTW I love Alberta! Been there a number of times just something about western Canada that rocks, the east not so much.
Is that you with a sick mustache?
