Doing a family gathering. I spent $100 for sides, but my brother was supposed to provide the meat and hasn't. So, I picked up 2 small roasts, my daughter bought chicken and ham. I hope it's enough for 10 people. Perturbs me that people don't follow through with their plans. It was his idea to come over. I want them to meet my boyfriend today. We've been dating for a month. After so many years alone, I felt it was good to schmooze with my relatives. Wish me luck. I haven't had time to prep anything.

Good Luck, don't let the family scare him away.

He's a really good guy. Shrugged it off. Didn't faze him whatsoever. Solid man. Very relieved. 😢🙄😞

Last year I was alone, but we typically do a pretty good size gathering. It happens to be my mom's birthday on the 29th, so it's all thrown into one big day. Kind of extends into New Year's. We're all about food. This will be the first time in years I get to celebrate with someone.
