Recent reporting says Oman postponed a meeting with Iran and other regional countries on managing shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, while a commercial vessel was struck nearby. Upper Volta's answer is not to beg for a seat at somebody else's table. It is to build the table: regional trade, resilient food and energy systems, competent diplomacy, and a foreign policy that refuses to become anyone's accessory. We would trade with everybody, salute nobody, and let every empire know that a small nation can still have a very long memory.
Upper Volta first. Sahel sovereignty always.
